The night before graduation we stayed at the Hancocks cabin. They were so kind to let us all come. It was our little brood, and my sister and parents, and Matt's mom. They had just finished decorating their 18 foot Christmas tree. It was spectacular! The kids just kept looking up and up at it! It made our "Charlie Brown Tree" this year look REALLY pathetic! We were so afraid that it would be cold staying in a cabin in St. Anthony would be freezing with only a wood burning stove, so we literally packed as if we were going for a winter camp out! We packed blankets and sleeping bags, and more blankets, and snow clothes, and more blankets, and thermals, and more blankets and you get the picture. Well we were VERY surprised, when the house was totally warm, because they have these blowers connected to the fireplace that blows the heat through the vents and throughout the whole house. It was like 68 + degrees in there! It was so toasty that we left a third of our blankets still in the bags, slept on top of the other third, and just slept with only a single blanket for each of us- no sleeping bags at all. The kids had a great time, and they were so excited to stay in a real cabin for the first time!
