Utah's Dumbest Criminal

Matt can be very quiet and subdued around other people, but when he is alone with family, he shows a sense of humor that cracks me up! He comes home with the funniest stories of crazy things that happen at work and on the freeway, of daring police chases and other things that he hears about or witnesses. This is one I couldn't help but share. Since they often work at night, they have these HUGE lights that stand about 20 feet tall or so, and are connected to a generator to light up. Well, they have had a lot of cases of stolen items recently. One of the supervisors was on KSL.com checking out some tools for himself, when with what to his wondering eyes appear one of these light generator thingy's (I can't remember the name of them). When he clicks on the add it says something like...great light generator thingy, PRC #0980986 Brand. He was baffled, and called the man. "I'll sell it to you for $1,000, I just want to get rid of it." So he then made an appointment to go look at it. Now, for clarification for those of us who don't know...Matt works for a group of construction companies called, "Provo River Construction", often abbreviated to "PRC" especially prefacing an invoice #. So the supervisor went to look at it. The supervisor said he like it, and "went to the car to get some money", but returning in his place were some policemen, with handcuffs. The man had obviously just backed up alongside the freeway and hooked it up to his trailer and then drove away. This man thinking it was a brand number, posted it on a public website for all to see. Honestly, who would want one of those. Most big companies already have them, and the smaller ones usually don't work outside during the night. We laughed about it, thinking this man could be featured on Utah's Dumbest Criminals.
